5 Memorable Ways to Honor Your Loved One Once They've Passed On

Death doesn’t weaken the bond you shared with your loved one that has passed on and grieving family members look for ways to keep the memory of the dear departed alive. There are a number of different ways in which you can keep their memory alive by honouring them in one of these ways:

  • Plant a tree in their honour - This is a great way to honour your love one; it’s a very good representation of solidity, resilience and wisdom. The tree can symbolize the love and affection you have for the person and you can watch it grow over the next several years. Not only will this give you some solace, but a tree is great for the environment too.

  • A tattoo as a memory - It’s common for people to get themselves inked to honor their family member who has passed on. However, a tattoo is quite a permanent thing and you should consider this decision carefully before deciding to get yourself inked. Many people find solace in getting this kind of tattoo to celebrate their relationship with the deceased person.

  • Design a great album or scrapbook - This is a good way to keep all the moments you shared with your loved one alive.  Go through the photos you have taken over the years and pick the ones that have the strongest memories attached to them. Those are the ones you can add to your album or scrapbook. You can also include some quotes at the bottom of each photo if you like.
