Thomas “Tom” Taylor passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on May 30, 2025, at the age of 98.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Tom was known for his kind heart, sharp wit, and unforgettable laugh. From the age of nine, he dreamed of being a salesman — a dream he fulfilled with passion, traveling extensively for work and for pleasure. He loved good meals in a restaurant (often three a day), long conversations, and was never far from a good book.
Tom was a devoted husband to Margaret, his wife of 72 years, and a dedicated father and grandfather. He was a long-standing member of the Kiwanis Club for over 40 years, later joining Probus, and remained active in his church and community throughout his life.
Predeceased by Margaret and his son Colin, Tom is survived by his daughter Susan (Frank), daughter-in-law Barbara, grandchildren Jessica (Daniel), Karen, Tracy, Nicholas, and Kaitlyn, and great-grandchildren Shivam and Isis. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, 20955 Old Yale Road, Langley.

Dear Susan and Frank and family,
I have just found out that your Dad had passed in May.
He and Margaret were good friends to my parents and I remember his words clearly at my Dad’s memorial.
He was larger than life and very positive all his life.
You must truly miss him .
With warm memories and condolences,
Tessa and Roger
