It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert John Power announce his sudden passing on Monday June 8, 2026, in Surrey, BC, at the age of 65 years.
Robert was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on April 12, 1961.
Robert was predeceased by his parents John and Audrey Power. He leaves to mourn with fond memories his brothers Howard (Wanda), Reg (Debra), Gary (Jacquey), and sisters Valda, Maxine (Randy), Doreen (Robin), Wanda (Al), Lisa (Stephane), and Helen (Jerry), along with his youngest brother and best friend/soul mate Craig. He will also be missed dearly by his closest nephew, Lennon, Craig's son, who has been a part of his life since birth.
Also left to mourn are many nieces and nephews who were also a big part of his life. He also leaves behind many friends in Newfoundland, Ontario, and British Columbia where he resided since 1999.
Robert was always a very active person. He loved his music, his fun jokes (dry at times, lol), and his big hearty laugh always made family gatherings special. He loved his back yard, picking wild flowers with Craig and creating his own flower arrangements that always looked great. Sitting by his backyard fireplace was his peaceful time, which he absolutely loved.
Rest easy brother, we love you and we all miss you.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Autism Society of Canada. Click HERE for direct link to site.
