It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mildred Pearl Fargey on October 21st, 2024. Her final days were spent peacefully in Rosemary Heights Care Home in Surrey, surrounded by family and caregivers.
Mildred was born on April 5th, 1934 in Dean, Nova Scotia to parents Ivan Dean and Dora Dean. She was predeceased by her husband Max Fargey. She is survived by her daughter Karen and son-in-law Ken, son Greg and daughter-in-law Darlene, grandchildren and spouses Alyssa & Tanner, Britney & Andre and Brian & Catherine, granddaughter Sarah, and her beloved dog Skye.
Mildred spent her working career as a dental assistant and retired after several years with the City of Vancouver Health Dept.
She loved music and singing and belonged to the Peach Blossoms acapella group while living in the Okanagan. She also loved to socialize and volunteered at the Kiwanis Club. Mildred was an avid traveler including trips to places such as Egypt and Scotland, and several trips to Hawaii. Known for her witty sense of humor and love for her family, Millie will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Mildred's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Rosemary Heights Seniors Village for their kindness and support given to our mom.
Mildred’s wishes for a private celebration of her life will be held by the immediate family. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada on Mildred’s behalf are appreciated.

So many fond memories of Millie. Millie and I worked together in many dental settings, including private practise, public health and corrections.
She was always fun to work with. We had many laughs together. May her memory be a blessing.

Aunt Millie: you were my favourite Aunt even though we didn't see a lot of each other. Your sense of humour was always there! Rest in peace Aunt Millie!
