Lorraine Dorothy Matilda
April 22, 1947 to April 20, 2026
Lorraine passed away at Langley Hospital surrounded by her loving family on April 20, 2026, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Vancouver BC, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Gladys and Howie Farrell. She graduated from Templeton High school in 1965.
Lorraine married Joe Matilda in August 1967.
Together they raised two children and enjoyed a life full of adventure and love.
Lorraine was an avid novel reader, bingo player, hockey watcher, and dog walker. (Gemma - her cocker spaniel)
She is survived by her devoted husband, Joe; her children, Leanne Matilda (Corey) and Craig Matilda (Lisa); her grandchildren, Hayley and Joe; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Lorraine will be missed. She was a true friend that I had the experience of knowing and sharing wonderful times from aged 13 till recently. Lorraine was the kind of good friend that would also be by your side during hard times. I was fortunate and glad I got to know her mom. dad and siblings Tommy and Marilyn. I was also blessed to be around to welcome the births of her and Joe's children Leanne and Craig and shared times during their childhood and into adulthood. I am happy that both Joe and Lorraine spent time in Mississippi and trips to Memphis and Nashville with Jim and I and us with them in Vancouver. Although she will be missed by many of us and never forgotten I am glad she is at peace now. My deepest thoughts and prayers are with Lorraine and Joe and family at this time. Love Joanne
