After a lengthy illness, Les fell asleep in Christ with the Hope of the Resurrection on January 19, 2026 at the age of 86 years.

Les is survived by his loving wife of nearly 64 years, Alison, sister Patricia (Don), daughter-in-law, Sharon, children Coralie (Jerome), Samuel (Chantelle), and Rebekah (Sean) as well as 7 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Les was pre-deceased by his son, Andrew, parents Ernest and Kathleen, and brothers Harold, Richard and Donald.

Les was a man of many talents, both academic and artistic which he shared readily with his family and friends, as well as with the many students he taught while teaching within the Burnaby School District for many years.  Those who have been gifted some of Les’s artistic creations will cherish the skill and passion he put into each item for years to come.

Les will be remembered as a man of strong faith and values, and he will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Les’s life will be held in the spring.
