Golat, Joseph John, was born October 3, 1925 and passed into the presence of his Lord on May 24, 2018.
Joe leaves to mourn his dear wife Doreen of 64 years, sons John (Carolyn), Tom (Teresa) and daughter Jo Ann, as well as seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many friends.
Joe was born in Alberta and came to British Columbia in his teens. He served with the Canadian peace-keeping force in Germany after the Second World War and on his return joined Customs and Excise, where he rose to the post of Customs Inspector.
In his retirement Joe was always busy and always helping someone as well as gardening and growing vegetables for not only for his family but for neighbours and friends.
We will celebrate the life of this remarkable and well-loved man at St. George’s Anglican Church in Fort Langley, B.C. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1 p.m., with a reception to follow. For those so wishing, donations to the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family. View Tribute Book.

Joe, you are in our hearts. We are thankful to have shared a part of your life with us. Such a kind and generous person. We will miss those veggies, so we have to start our own garden
