With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of John Noel Wynne in White Rock, Canada, on August 5, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, John lived a generous and full life rooted in faith, family, hard work, and service. A proud member of Local 170 Plumbers and Pipefitters for 57 years, he brought passion and dedication to all his roles with 170, forming lasting friendships along the way.
John was the beloved husband of Dolores, devoted father to Denise and Andrea, father-in-law to Marty and Donnie, and proud grandfather to Ryan, Jesse, Kayla, Justin, Moriah, and Donnie’s children Kyla, Aiden, and Ethan. He was a loving son to John and Martha and is predeceased by his siblings Betty and Thomas. He is survived by his siblings Sonny, Michael, Marie, Vera, Gerard, Philip, Robert, David, and Neville.
John had a gift for connecting with others and was active in many communities, including the Irish community, the UA, his parish and various civic committees. He found joy in offering a helping hand, sharing stories, and teaching his grandchildren in the garage.
His presence, wisdom, and generosity will be deeply missed by his large extended family and many dear friends.

To Family & Friends… I was so sorry to hear of John passing, he was a good man. We first met in 1980. We were fellow UA local union officers, John in 170 and myself in Local 46 in Toronto. As Business Managers we served on numerous national negotiating committees. I have fond memories of times together with our late wife’s Frances and Dolores. John was always dedicated to advancing the interests of the members of Local 170. He was especially admired and respected by those of us who were fortunate to call him friend. To the family, please accept my deepest condolences, May John R.I.P.
