Born January 5, 1933 in Singapore, passed away in Richmond B.C. November 29, 2023 with son Drew at his side. Sadly, he was recently predeceased by his loving wife Jindra. He is survived by his daughter Liz, son Drew (Jeannine), Jindra’s daughter Michelle (Patrick) and son Pat, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, as well as his two sisters Ginny and Penny, and their families in New Zealand.
Among his passions were sailing and automobile racing. He raced twin engine go-carts at the old Westwood Road Course in the early 60’s and he was an avid follower of Formula One right to the very end. In the late 60’s he along with a friend co-founded the Tsawwassen Yacht Club and enjoyed many years of racing, and cruising his boats in the Gulf Islands and many trips to Desolation Sound.
He and Jindra built a second home in the Czech Republic, bought a Euro-Van and toured many countries in Europe. One of their favorite spots was the coast of Croatia. They also lived for many years on Westminster Hwy in Richmond B.C.
His was a life well lived, and he will be greatly missed.
