July 24, 1946 – May 30, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, James Edward Mortimer, on May 30, 2026, at the age of 79.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on July 24, 1946, Jim spent more than 50 years as a professional truck driver. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to providing for his family.

Jim was predeceased by his beloved wife, Karen Mary Mortimer.

He leaves behind his loving children: Nicole Lovett (Rob), Kathy Coghlan (Bill), Kevin Mortimer (Misti), and Maegan Gendemann (Mason).

Jim was a proud grandfather to Brandi, Dominic, Danika, Parker, Lucas, Arianna, Isabella, and step-grandchild Shaydin. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Jack and Lennon.

He is also survived by his siblings, Donna (Brian), Ricki (Monica), and Lisa (Chris), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Jim will be remembered for his quiet strength and the many friendships he made throughout his life. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
