It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Nelson, who passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, just two days after celebrating her 92nd birthday. Helen was born on July 13, 1934, in the Rural Municipality of Mossey River, Manitoba.

Helen is lovingly remembered by her Everloving husband, Richard. Together, they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage and celebrated their anniversary on July 14, 2026, just one day before her passing; their children, Robert (Susan) Nelson, Sharon Stewart, Michele (Rick) Cosco, and Rickie (Kris) Nelson; their 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren, with three more great-grandchildren expected later this year. She is also survived by her brother, Mike (Diane)Bobee, and her sisters, Pauline Labay and Elsie (Gordon) Panas.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ed Bobee, and her sisters, Mary Smith and Tina Holowaty.

Helen enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as a self-employed hairdresser, where she formed many lasting friendships through her work. In retirement, she and Richard enjoyed travelling together and spending many evenings dancing, creating wonderful memories along the way.

Helen will be fondly remembered for her warm heart, her famous homemade perogies, and the love she shared with her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren, and growing family. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
