Post a Tribute

It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Francis John Peirce (“JP”). He left this world unexpectedly on July 6, 2026 at the age of 31. Born on October 1st, 1994, in Surrey, BC, he attended Our Lady of Good Counsel and Discovery elementary schools and graduated from Kwantlen Park Secondary. Growing up, he enjoyed football, rugby, theatre and Squires. As an adult, he enjoyed family gatherings, being in nature, multiplayer video games and music.

While our hearts are broken that he is gone too soon, we find comfort in knowing he has been called home to God the Father and is joyfully reunited in Heaven with his grandmother Florence Catherine Smith, grandfathers Francis Henry Smith and Kenneth Linton, aunt Sandra Beulens, uncles Frank Smith, Peter Beulens and John Fallavollita, and cousins Kayla St Cyr and Troy St Cyr.

Francis is lovingly remembered by his mother, Nancy, his father, Daniel, grandmother Jean, and his siblings Catherine (Kevin), McKenzie (Bahram) and Elizabeth, along with extended family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. We will fondly remember his gentle soul, sense of humor and desire to make others laugh, as well as his creativity which he expressed over the years through performance, dance, rap and poetry. He will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Francis’ memory may be directed to BC Schizophrenia Society (https://www.bcss.org/). If you would like to send flowers, please see https://bloomex.ca/sympathy-and-funeral-flowers.

Condolences can be sent to peirce2026@gmail.com. We would love to hear any story of Francis that you would like to share.

My favourite memory of Francis was when he pretended to be Frannie the clownie. He would sit down in a chair pretend to ride a bike and say honk honk. it always made me laugh as a child. He also told great bedtime stories with objects in the room.

Every once in a while we would see you at our home and always thought of you as being a helpful, quiet, nice young man. Francis you will be missed. To the family, we are sorry for the loss of your loved one.

A true gentleman. I recall on one occasion he was helping with a Faith and Light pilgrimage to Portland. Not only did he participate in the antics that were going on he willingly picked up Ernie and got him up the steps in the hotel.
A good man and I am sure soon to be in the presence of God if not already there.
