It is with both sorrow and reflection that we announce the passing of Clayton Lauder who left us on Feb 16, 2025, at the age of 57. Though his journey was not without its challenges, he will be remembered for the moments of strength, love, and passion that he shared with those who knew him best.

Born on June 20, 1967, Clay had a fierce love for life, with a particular fondness for NASCAR, football, country music, and all animals- especially horses. He also enjoyed skiing the slopes and always had a guitar in hand. The roar of a race car engine and the grace of a horse spoke to his soul, embodying the free spirit he always strove to be. Stubborn as a bull, he faced life with determination, sometimes at odds with his own struggles.

He was a man whose fierce love and loyalty were undeniable and love for his family never wavered.

He leaves behind his mother Tim, love of 20 years Jackie, sister Shannon, daughter Chloe, son Donny, niece Jodi and many other friends who will never stop caring for him. He will be missed deeply, not only for his passions and personality but for the ways in which his life taught us about resilience, forgiveness, and the complexities of love.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit remains in the memories we share and the love we continue to hold for him. The sound of him strumming his guitar will forever be echoed for those honoured enough to hear him play.

Rest in peace, Clay. You will never be forgotten.

Those we love don't go away,

They walk beside us everyday.

Unseen, unheard, but always near,

Still loved, still missed, and always near.
